Lakewood Man Charged With Murder In Former Employer's Shooting Death

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A Lakewood man has pleaded not guilty to fatally shooting his former employer at the victim's Benedict Canyon home.

Gerson Sanchez, 31, was arrested on Monday, two days after the body of 28-year-old Angelo Armani Eppolito-Autry was found by a co-worker at the residence in the 10000 block of Westwanda Drive in the Benedict Canyon area, according to the LAPD.

"Sanchez was a former employee of Eppolito-Autry, and the two had an ongoing dispute over money," a police spokesperson said.

Sanchez, who was being held on $1 million bail, is next scheduled to appear in court on May 7.

A hearing date is expected to be scheduled to determine if there is enough evidence to require Sanchez to stand trial.
