Lakers Sign Manny Harris From D-League On 10-Day Contract

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The Los Angeles Lakers have signed guard Manny Harris to a 10-day contract.

The injury-plagued Lakers made the move Thursday after Nick Young was suspended for Friday's game in Boston.

Harris is averaging a league-best 30.6 points per game for the Lakers' D-League affiliate, the Los Angeles D-Fenders. He has played 80 NBA games for Cleveland.

The Lakers had nine healthy players for their most recent home loss Tuesday. Just eight players participated in Los Angeles' 121-114 loss at Phoenix on Wednesday night. Young was suspended for throwing a punch at Goran Dragic in that game.

Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Steve Blake, Jordan Farmar and Xavier Henry are all out with long-term injuries.

Los Angeles has lost 12 of 13 to fall to 14th place in the 15-team Western Conference.
