Lakers Decline Option On Jordan Hill; Move Clears Up Cap Room For Free Agents

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Lakers have declined the team option on forward Jordan Hill, according to reports.

The move will allow Hill to become a free agent, CBS Sports reported.

The move clears up cap space for the Lakers so they can be more flexible when attempting to sign coveted free agents like LaMarcus Aldridge or Marc Gasol.

Hill, 28, averaged 12 points and almost 8 rebounds this past year with the Lakers. He was drafted 8th overall in 2009 by the Knicks after a solid college career at the University of Arizona.
