Lakers' Center Ivica Zubac Out For Season

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Ivica Zubac had to leave Thursday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves after suffering a right-ankle sprain in the first quarter.

The team had Zubac go in for X-rays and an MRI Friday morning to check out his ankle.

Results of the X-rays were negative, but the MRI confirmed a high ankle sprain in his right ankle.

The Lakers have elected to sit the rookie big man for the remainder of the season, and have him re-evaluated in two weeks.
