Anthony Davis Celebrates Lakers Title With Trip To North Hollywood Taco Truck

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) - Anthony Davis knew exactly how he wanted to celebrate the Lakers' first NBA title in 10 years.

Upon his return from the NBA bubble in Orlando, the Lakers center hit up La Autentica Birrieria in North Hollywood for some of their popular braised goat tacos.

Owner Jaime Arana wrote: "On Monday Anthony Davis straight off winning the NBA title in the NBA Bubble asked if we could bring him some of our tacos but we were closed. Today, however, we came through and dropped off all his favorites!!! Thanks for giving us the opportunity Champ ???????? and thank you for bringing back the championship to LA!!!"

"He's like, 'Man can I put in an order?' Because that's the first thing he wants once he lands to L.A," said Arana.

So Arana delivered his number one selling tacos the next day: shredded goat meat, which comes with onions and cilantro.

Arana says the exposure he's getting from Anthony Davis is a dream come true, not just for him but his brother and his mom who does all of the cooking.

The family immigrated from the Mexican state of Michoacan in 2009. They worked in the food industry until they were able to launch La Autentica Birrieria a year ago.

"To be able to able to feed different ethnicities, different people come and try my food," he said. "That has always been my goal to introduce our food to different cultures."

The 27-year-old Davis has apparently been a fan of the taco truck since May, when Arana posted an image of Davis in his car and "trying our tacos".
