Laguna Woods Community Celebrates 50th Anniversary By Releasing Commemorative Photo Book

LAGUNA WOODS (CBSLA.com) — The community of Laguna Woods is marking its 50th anniversary with the release of photo book documenting the village and the people who lived there.

The Laguna Woods Historical Society has gathered more than 800 photos paired with stories of the past.

The story begins with the ancient Santa Ana Bay, traces it through the Mission years, Moulton Ranch, and, finally, to Laguna Woods — one of the first age-restricted communities for active seniors in the nation.

Only 1,000 copies of the book will be sold and each will be numbered.

All the money raised from the book's sale will help the Historical Society.

For more information on the Historical Society and how you can get one of the books visit LagunaWoodsVillage.com.
