LAFD Battles 2-Acre Brush Fire In Elysian Park Near Dodger Stadium

ELYSIAN PARK (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters Wednesday battled a brush fire near Dodger Stadium.

The 2-acre grass fire was reported just before 8:50 a.m. just northeast of downtown Los Angeles in Elysian Park, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Authorities said a cooking fire at a homeless camp got out of control.

It took 86 firefighters and three helicopters to knock down the flames by 9:22 a.m., officials said.

The Stadium Way offramps from the northbound and southbound 110 were closed during the incident.
