LADWP Holds Public Meeting Over Rate Hikes
LEIMERT PARK (CBSLA.com) — The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power is holding the first in a series of public meetings on Saturday to discuss possible rate hikes.
Under the proposed hikes, a residential customer using a typical amount of water and power would see an average annual rate increase of 3.4 percent, or $4.75 a month, over the next five years.
A typical customer's water and power bill would increase by just under $24 a month, from $132 to $156, at the end of five years.
The public meeting is scheduled for 11 a.m. at the Crenshaw Customer Service Center at 4030 Crenshaw Boulevard in Leimert Park.
