LA Ranked 19th Fittest City In America

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The City of Angels is the 19th fittest city in America.

The American College of Sports Medicine unveiled its seventh annual list ranking the 50 largest cities Wednesday.

Riverside ranked 28th in the nation, with San Diego and Sacramento coming in eighth and tenth.

The Bay Area came in fifth, according to the study.

The fittest city in the United States went to the nation's capital, Washington, D.C.

The list measures infrastructure, community assets and policies that encourage a healthy and fit lifestyle.
