LA Man, 35, Found Shot To Death Inside Compton Home

COMPTON (CBSLA.com) — Authorities said Saturday that they found the body of a 35-year-old man inside a Compton home.

The victim -- identified by the coroner as Darrell Echols -- had a gunshot wound to the upper torso.

Deputies responded to a "shots fired" call at about 2:14 a.m. Saturday and found Echols at the residence in the 2600 block of West 134th Street, said Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.

There were no reports of arrests and no suspect information was available.
