LA Kings' Slava Voynov To Face Charges In Domestic Violence Case

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles Kings defenseman Slava Voynov will face charges in trial in March for allegedly punching his wife.

Voynov pleaded not guilty Dec. 1 to one count of felony domestic violence after his wife was injured during an argument at their Redondo Beach home.

The 24-year-old was arrested Oct. 20 after his wife sought medical attention, and he was suspended indefinitely from the NHL.

The Kings organization was fined $100,000 on Dec. 2 for allowing Voynov to skate with the team.
