LA Firefighters Dispatched To Help Fight 50,000 Acre Butte Fire
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters from the Los Angeles city and county fire departments were dispatched on Friday to help fight the fast-spreading Butte Fire that has scorched 50,000 acres southeast of Sacramento.
Some strike teams were dispatched on Friday afternoon. Other strike teams were preparing for their deployment on Friday night at a Mission Hills fire station.
Earlier Friday, Gov. Jerry Brown declared a state of emergency in Amador and Calaveras counties as the fire threatened 6,000 structures.
