LA County Supervisors Don Wonder Woman Headbands At Meeting
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — There was a superhero sighting of sorts Tuesday at the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors meeting.
Several members of the board - including Janice Hahn, Sheila Kuehl, and Kathryn Barger - donned "Wonder Woman"-style headbands during the meeting at the Kenneth Hahn Hall of Administration.

The stunt was to encourage more women to join the L.A. County Fire Department, where only 45 out of nearly 3,000 firefighters - less than two percent - are women.
The Board of Supervisors saw its first female majority following last November's election, in which voters elected Hahn and Barger to join Hilda Solis and Kuehl. Mark Ridley-Thomas is the board's sole male member.
