LA County Vehicle Drives Over Man On Venice Beach

VENICE (CBSLA.com) — A 53-year-old man was hospitalized Friday after he was inadvertently run over by a Los Angeles County truck, officials said.

Paramedics responded to the incident along the 400 block of Ocean Front Walk near Dudley shortly after 8:40 a.m., according to LAFD spokesman Erik Scott.

The victim had to be extricated from the vehicle and was transported in serious condition, Scott said. Police say the truck was owned by L.A. County.

CBS2's Kara Finnstrom reported a witness says the truck rolled over the victim.

No additional information was available.
