LA Co. Sheriff's Deputy Injured In Motorcycle Crash

TOPANGA (CBSLA.com) — A Los Angeles County motorcycle deputy was injured Wednesday morning in a crash on Topanga Canyon Road.

The solo-vehicle accident was reported at 5:15 a.m. in the 1500 block of N. Topanga Canyon near Pacific Coast Highway, the LASD said.

"Deputy (Timothy) White was riding a department motorcycle when he struck a patch of gravel on the roadway and subsequently collided into the hillside," Dept. Juanita Navarro-Suarez said.

He was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Topanga Canyon Road will be closed between Grandview Drive and PCH for an investigation.
