The rest of the student body sheltered in place as two patients were evaluated for inhalation, according to the LACoFD. A La Cañada Unified School District spokesperson said all students and staff were safe during the incident.

The district added that crews found unidentified chemicals in two locations while clearing the campus.

"As of this evening, the campus has been cleared for safe reentry, and students may return this weekend to collect personal items during designated times," the district wrote. "The campus will reopen for regular instruction on Monday, December 15. The investigation remains active and is being led by law enforcement."
