La Brea Tar Pits closed after reported shooting at nearby park

The La Brea Tar Pits closed early after someone allegedly shot a gun at a nearby park on Thursday afternoon. 

The Los Angeles Police Department said they received a call about a possible shooting at 3:06 p.m. at Wilshire Boulevard and Ogden Drive. Officers took a woman into custody within an hour of the reported shooting. They did not find any victims. 

The La Brea Tar Pits said they closed the museum and halted admissions for the day.
