Kraft Voluntarily Recalls Select Boxes Of Mac & Cheese Due To Possible Metal Pieces

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Kraft Foods Group is voluntarily recalling select boxes of macaroni and cheese over concerns that some may contain small pieces of metal.

The company says the recall covers approximately 242,000 cases of select code dates and manufacturing codes of the original flavor of Kraft Macaroni & Cheese.

The recalled product is 7.25 ounces in size and has "best when used by" dates of Sept. 18 through Oct. 11 of this year with the code "C2" directly below the date.

Kraft says some of the affected products may also be packaged as multi-packs and may have different codes. Click here for more information on those.

The company says the recalled products were shipped in the U.S. and other countries but not Canada.

Those who bought the product should return it to the store where it was purchased for an exchange or a refund.

More information is also available by calling Kraft Foods Consumer Relations at 1 (800) 816-9432.
