Kobe Bryant Will "Definitely" Play In Sunday's Exhibition

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Veteran Kobe Bryant says that he will "definitely" play in the Lakers preseason opener on Sunday.

Bryant is coming off a torn rotator cuff which caused him to miss almost all of last season.

Lakers Head Coach Byron Scott said that he hasn't decided fully on a starting lineup for tomorrow's game, but all signs point to Bryant starting at the small forward position, with Jordan Clarkson and DeAngelo Russell manning the two guard positions.

The Lakers will take on the Utah Jazz in Hawaii on Sunday, with tip-off at 6 p.m PT.

According to reports, Bryant has enjoyed letting Clarkson and Russell set him up rather than him having to create opportunities for himself. Despite his Head Coach saying that he will "probably" play tomorrow in Hawaii, Bryant told Bill Oram of the Orange County Register that he will definitely play.

All signs point to Bryant being ready to go for the regular season opener on October 28th against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
