KKK Member From OC Arrested At Pro-Trump Rally In North Carolina

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Police in North Carolina have arrested a California Ku Klux Klan leader after he attacked another Klansman there, authorities said.

William Hagen of Anaheim, who experts say is the grand dragon of California's Klan, was arrested last week after he got into a fight with a fellow Klan member before a victory parade for President-elect Donald Trump in Roxboro, N.C.

Earlier this year, Hagen was one of several Klan members involved in a nasty fight during an Anaheim rally that left three people stabbed.

But now Hagen is charged with trying to kill one of his own.

The confrontation occurred at what was one of several KKK Trump victory celebrations planned in the Tar Heel State, events that had some locals bracing for potential violence, though maybe not within the Klan itself.

Investigators say Hagen had flown to North Carolina to be with other KKK members for the parade and is now facing charges of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill one of them. North Carolina police say he stabbed another Klansman.
