Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball To Provide Free Tickets To Low-Income, Inner-City Youths
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) —The Los Angeles Dodgers will begin distributing free tickets to groups of low-income, inner-city youths at Friday night's game.
Young people from a Wilmington youth center operated by Catholic Charities of Los Angeles will be in attendance the 7:10 p.m. game at Dodger Stadium when LA plays the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The tickets are provided by Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball, which is designed to reach local region schools, youth centers and nonprofit organizations that serve those who may not have resources to attend a Dodger game due to economic hardship, according to team officials.
During each of the 51 games, 250 youths will take a customized Dodger bus to the stadium and will receive a Reserve-level ticket, a voucher for a Dodger dog and beverage and a Kids 4 Dodgers Baseball T-shirt.
Students from Phoenix Continuation School, which serves at-risk high school students and members of the West Angeles Church youth group will attend Saturday's 5:10 p.m. game.
