Longtime Kermit The Frog Voice Actor Fired
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Steve Whitmire, the longtime voice and puppeteer of Kermit the Frog, will no longer will be working with The Muppets - and the internet is not happy.
Whitmire took over the role back in 1990 when Muppets founder Jim Henson passed away.
In a telephone interview Monday with the New York Times, the longtime voice of Kermit said he was not warned about the firing and that he would be replaced for minor reasons.
Many people took to social media to voice their opinion on the situation.
