Kawhi Leonard Reportedly Signing With LA Clippers, Paul George To Join Team As Well
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — Reports are coming in that the NBA Finals most valuable player Kawhi Leonard has made his decision.
According to the Los Angeles Times, Leonard will be joining the Los Angeles Clippers next season along with Oklahoma City's Paul George — who the team acquired in a trade.
The pair — who both grew up in Southern California — have reportedly wanted to play together for some time.
To acquire All-Star George, the Clippers will reportedly send forward Danilo Gallinari and point guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to Oklahoma City. The Clippers will also give the Thunder four unprotected first-round draft picks, a protected first-round pick and two pick swaps.
According to the Times, Leonard is expected to sign a four-year contract worth $142 million.
ESPN originally broke the story with reporter Adrian Wojnarowski tweeting out the news.
