Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Oct. 13)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — After a warm start to this work week, things will cool down considerably over the next 24 hours.

High pressure and an off-shore flow will help to warm inland communities. There is a 1,500 foot marine layer that will keep things mild at the beach. Look for a heavy surf advisory for west facing beaches in Ventura County through the day.

There is also a wind advisory through the day for the canyons and passes in LA and Ventura counties. Those gusts will peak Monday morning.

By Tuesday, a big trough will move into the west coast and increase the marine layer. That cloud deck should be deep enough to squeeze out some drizzle by Tuesday and Wednesday morning.

Temps for the rest of the week will hover in the 70s.  Look for a weak warm up next weekend.
