Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Sept. 10)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — So much for summer winding down — over the next few days, summer is winding up!

Expect some very warm temperatures for the latter half of this work week and into the weekend. High pressure will strengthen over the next few days and that will squash the marine layer.

Temperatures will be hovering a good six to 10 degrees above average for this time of year. Valleys and other inland areas will reach above 100 degrees by Thursday.

The high pressure will provide a mild off-shore flow with no real wind but very dry weather, meaning it will be a hot and dry event as opposed to a humid event.

The high humidity will return by Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. It appears the tropical system brewing in the Pacific may not be much of a factor as it is looking like it will make a left turn into the Pacific. Monsoonal flow will kept at bay for the next several days.
