Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Oct. 1)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Get ready for some very warm days ahead here in Southern California. Wednesday will be the last day in the 80s until Sunday or maybe Monday.

A ridge of high pressure is going to expand into the west coast over the next 24 hours. There is also a surface high that will develop over Nevada. These two features will bring some very warm temperatures.

Expect off-shore flow to develop overnight and early tomorrow. That North and Northeast wind will remain through the weekend.

Expect gusty conditions from time to time. There is no wind advisory right now, but the combination of the heat, wind direction and already very dry vegetation will make it a high fire danger weekend.

Valley temps will reach past 103 to 106 degrees, while the LA Basin and Orange County could get into the upper 90s, maybe even 100 degrees in some spots. There really is no relief until the middle of next week.
