Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (May 6)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — There's a late season system drifting through the west coast Tuesday. This is translating into some windy conditions in the high desert as well as a few light showers for some foothill communities.

Daytime highs Tuesday will be running several degrees off of the seasonal norms, and with the windy conditions, it may feel a bit blustery in spots.

By Wednesday the trough swings to the east, and there will be partly cloudy skies. It looks like there will be a slow warming trend into the weekend. However, by the beginning of next week a big ridge of high pressure builds in, and we could be back up into the upper 80s to near 90 degrees.

Basin - mid 60s

Coast - mid 60s

Valleys - low 70s

Mtns - low 40s

Deserts - low 70s
