Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Jan. 3)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — We are waking up to some patchy dense fog Friday morning.  Watch out for reduced visibility closer to the coast.

Expect temperatures to drop down a touch Friday, and there will also be some patchy dense fog in spots early.  Later in the afternoon, look for highs in the 70s.  While it's cooler than Thursday, it's still way above average.

Saturday there will be a transition back to an off-shore flow later in the day.  Gusty winds should kick up as well.  With the lack of rainfall and the low relative humidity levels, don't be surprised if a red flag warning goes into effect. Sunday will be warmer and breezy with the Santa Ana winds.

Next week it appears the weather pattern will change.  Expect cooler weather with the slight chance for a shower.  It's still iffy if the system holds together.

Basin - mid 70s

Beaches - low 70s

Valleys - mid 70s

Mountains -mid 50s

Deserts - mid 60s
