Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Feb. 17)

STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — There's a coastal eddy that spun up overnight and it has pushed a marine layer into the valleys.

Temperatures will be kept in check Tuesday with some slow clearing. Look for hazy sunshine in the afternoon.

Temperatures will be slightly warmer Wednesday with hazy sunshine again.

There is an inside slider that is going to push through the southwest this weekend. This will translate into some cooler temperatures and mostly cloudy skies.

A wave of lift will push through the trough and bring in a slight chance for showers Saturday into Sunday. This trough will be over land (the definition of an inside slider) so any rain will be light.

Temperatures will actually dip below average for the first time in a long while. The totals probably won't help us in terms of the drought pattern we have been in.
