Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Feb. 11)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — High pressure is setting in and we are starting to warm up.

We had a little inversion this morning that resulted in some reduced visibility and patchy fog, but that has cleared.

Temperatures Tuesday will be warmer than yesterday.  We did get a spike in our downtown temperature at 4:45 p.m., which was unusual. We went from a high of 68 at 2 p.m. to 73 at 4:45 p.m. due to an off-shore flow.

Today's highs will reach into the upper 70s to low 80s.

The ridge continues to strengthen through the work week.  We will see widespread 80 degree readings tomorrow and Thursday.

We will cool slightly over the weekend, but stay above average.

Watch out for gusty winds at times which could reach advisory levels.

Way out in the distant future, we may be looking at rain late next week.

Basin - mid to upper 70s

Beaches - mid 70s

Valleys - upper 70s to low 80s

Mountains - low 50s

Deserts - upper  60s
