Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Dec. 18)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — It looks like mother nature may be ready to turn off the faucet for a little while.

We are waking up to some scattered sprinkles this morning as a short wave moves through the area.

We will be dry through the rest of the day.

There is one last wave of energy moving through Friday, but the system looks drier than today.

For the weekened, a ridge of high pressure strengthens and we are looking at some dry and warm weather. An off-shore flow will develop by Saturday and last through Christmas Eve.

Look for 80s by Monday and Tuesday.  Right now the long range models are showing a dry end of 2014.
