Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (April 8)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — We have a taste of summer at the beginning of Spring as we look at another warm couple of days.

Temperatures are running 10 to 15 degrees above average for this time of year. There is a strong ridge of high pressure dominating the west coast.

There will be a very slow cooling trend for the next 72 hours as the high pressure weakens. By Friday a cut-off low drifts through the area and that will bring temperatures down.

While there isn't much moisture associated with the low, there is some instability, which could translate into a brief mountain thunderstorm. Other than that, don't expect much more than temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s.

basin - low to mid 80s
coast - low 80s
valleys - low 90s
mtns - upper 60s
deserts - low 80s
