Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (April 1)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The initial cold front has passed, and now we are looking at a cool unstable environment through Wednesday.

The next round of rain will be Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. The center of the low-pressure system will bring a chance of brief heavy downpours and a thunderstorm.

Expect another .10 inch to .25 inch before Wednesday is done. That's not a lot at all, but for the burn areas, a brief downpour could spell problems.

There is also the chance for some winter weather on the I-5 and 14 freeways, because of the lowering snow level. Driving could be slick over the passes.

It will dry up later Wednesday and Thursday. There is a trough on Friday for some cooler weather, then a big warm up for the weekend and the beginning of next week.
