Josh Hamilton Still Has Sore Thumb But Is Set To Return To Angels Monday

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) - Josh Hamilton is set to return with the Angels Monday after injuring his thumb on April 8.

Hamilton, who has been out for six  weeks, injured his left thumb on a play sliding to first base in the ninth inning against the Seattle Mariners.

The former homerun champion has been on rehab assignment with the Angels' Triple-A affiliate in Salt Lake City.

Although the Bees scratched him from his start Friday, Hamilton is expected to return to the Angels Monday against the Mariners.
