JetBlue Cancels LAX Pizza Party, 'Pie In The Sky' Pizza Delivery Still Airborne

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — If you were hoping to get some authentic New York pizza at the airport for lunch Wednesday, you may need to start considering other options.

JetBlue Airways' "Pie in the Sky" program was set to deliver pizza to Los Angeles residents for three days in May starting Wednesday, but an accompanying pizza party at Los Angeles International Airport was cancelled.

"We were slightly delayed due to technical difficulties...but the program is running and customers will have their next chance at a pizza tonight at 12:00 AM PT," a JetBlue spokesperson told CBSLA.

Last week, JetBlue said it would be delivering 350 pizzas a day starting at midnight Pacific Standard Time each day.

Anyone wanting to get in on the party can plug in their zip code on the JetBlue website to check if they're in the delivery zone.

Cheese is going for $12, while pepperoni will cost $15.
