Jansen & Turner Among 6 Dodgers Players Retained Before Deadline

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Dodgers elected to retain six of their arbitration-eligible players today , right before Wednesday's deadline.

The team had until 9 p.m. PT to tender any contracts, otherwise, players would become free agents.

The Dodgers elected to retain Justin Turner, Kenley Jansen, Chris Hatcher, Yasmani Grandal, Scott Van Slyke, and Luis Avilan.

The team decided to non-tender Juan Nicasio, making him a free agent.

The Dodgers signed A.J. Ellis and Joe Wieland earlier in the week.
