Jacoby Jones, Chargers Agree On 2-Year Deal

SAN DIEGO (CBSLA.com) - Jacoby Jones and the San Diego Chargers have agreed on a two-year deal, the team announced Friday.

"I think he's just an explosive player, and he's proven that," an excitable Rivers said.  "He can do a little bit of everything, but it's those chunk plays that you really think about with him.  He's obviously got the speed and range, and he's long.  I think he'll fit in well.  Obviously we'll get him in here with OTA's and get a feel for the guy, but I do know he can really run and make explosive plays.  The little I've talked to him, he's got that swagger you like in a receiver and a playmaker."

Jones will add speed to the Chargers' special teams who ranked one of the worst in the league in returns.

Jones spent the last three seasons with the Ravens, who had him on a four-year deal worth $12 million, which $4.5 million were guaranteed.

The explosive receiver was a Super Bowl hero in 2012 against the San Francisco 49ers after scoring on a 56-yard touchdown pass and a 108-yard kickoff return in the Ravens' 34-31 victory.
