Investigation Underway After Woman Drowns In Hawthorne Jacuzzi
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Hawthorne Police are investigating the cause of a tragic death in which a woman in her 30's reportedly drowned in a Jacuzzi at a local apartment complex.
Police were called to the scene of a Hawthorne apartment around 2 a.m. after reports came in of an unresponsive female in the apartment's Jacuzzi.
LA County firefighters and paramedics worked for more than 40 minutes to try to revive the woman but they were unsuccessful.
It is unknown how long the woman was down for.
She was pronounced dead at the scene, and while no foul play is expected, the authorities say they will look at all possibilities.
Authorities have yet to determine if the woman was a resident of the apartment complex at which she was found.
