Injured Hiker Rescued After Falling From Cliff On Simi Valley Trail

SIMI VALLEY (CBSLA.com) — A 20-year-old woman was rescued by paramedics Tuesday after falling from a hiking trail in Simi Valley.

KCAL9's Kevin Takumi reports Ventura County Sheriff's Department paramedics were called to the scene late Tuesday afternoon after the hiker, who has not been named, apparently suffered multiple broken bones after falling 50 feet from a cliff on Hummingbird Trail.

Ventura County Fire Department Captain Mike Lindbery said the patient would be airlifted for additional medical treatment.

Four other hikers in the group, who were not injured, were also airlifted to safety.
