Inglewood Real Estate Market Heating Up With Return Of Rams

INGLEWOOD (CBSLA.com) — After Rams owner Stan Kroenke announced last week that he will move the team to a brand new stadium in Inglewood, realtors and Inglewood residents say it's clear that the local real estate market is heating up.

"Inglewood is on fire right now," realtor Matt Crabbs said.

Before the announcement Crabbs had listed a $4 million property on La Brea Avenue -- about one mile from the proposed stadium -- but hadn't received any calls.

One Inglewood resident took her house off the market after the Rams' announcement. She said she'll wait until the stadium is completed to sell, to allow prices to rise further. (The stadium is expected to be ready by the 2019 season).

Adolph Dulan, founder of Dulan's Soulfood on Crenshaw Blvd. and known in the area as the "King of Soul Food," said the neighborhood will likely see a transformation.

"There is going to be diversity of people coming through here that we haven't had before," he said.
