Infant Struck By Stray Bullet In Panorama City

PANORAMA CITY (CBSLA.com) — A nine-month-old girl was struck in the thigh on Saturday night by a stray bullet in Panorama City, authorities said.

The LAPD said the shooting took place at Wakefield Avenue and Osborne Street at around 7:15 p.m.

The shooting occurred when a man fired at a man riding his bicycle southbound on Wakefield Avenue, away from Osborne Street, the Los Angeles Daily News reported. The man on the bike was not hit, but dropped his bike and fled on foot.

The infant was in a stroller when she was struck by the bullet, the Daily News reported.

The infant was hospitalized and is in stable condition. The suspects are still at large.
