IKEA Recalls Baby Gates

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — IKEA is voluntarily recalling 80,000 baby gates, because the company says they can unlock themselves.

Ten injuries linked to the baby gates have been reported, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Two of those injuries involved concussions.

IKEA is recalling the Patrull Safety Gate and extension, the Patrull Fast Safety Gate, and the Patrull Klamma Safety Gate and extension.

The gates were sold from the IKEA website and in U.S. stores from 1995 until last month.

They were manufactured in Denmark.

IKEA advised customers who bought the gates to stop using them and return them for a refund.
