5 Sheep Killed, Other Livestock Hurt In Littlerock, Officials Say

LITTLEROCK (CBSLA.com) — Animal control officers are investigating the killings several farm animals in the Antelope Valley.

Danny Ubario with Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control says authorities responded to a report of a husky attacking livestock about 7 a.m. on Sunday.

When authorities arrived, they found five dead sheep, four injured sheep, and one injured goat.

"The goats were crying, making noise. I come up and see the dog inside and I tried to chase the dog and the dog came out and run after me," Shiek Shah, a resident, said.

Shah says he even had to escape the dog by hiding in a horse trailer.

He then called authorities who responded to the scene and captured the dog.

Ubario said the dog was being held at a shelter in Lancaster. A hearing is expected to be held at some future date.

There was no word yet on who owns the husky.
