Crews Extinguish Blaze At Huntington Park Warehouse, Firefighter Injured

HUNTINGTON PARK (CBSLA) — The Los Angeles County Fire Department Monday battled a blaze at a warehouse in Huntington Park that sent one firefighter to the hospital with minor injuries.

Authorities said the call came in at about 8:30 p.m. for reports of a single-story commercial building on fire near the intersection of Salt Lake and Gage avenues. When fire crews got to the scene, heavy smoke and fire could be seen coming from the warehouse.

The fire was quickly upgraded to a three-alarm fire about half an hour after it was first reported.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to the department.

The blaze was declared a knockdown shortly after 11 p.m. No other injuries were reported.
