Huntington Beach Honors Harvey Milk By Raising Pride Flag At Pier

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA) - The City of Huntington Beach honored Harvey Milk Saturday in a ceremony where city leaders hoisted the pride flag at the pier.

The celebration honored California's first openly gay person elected to public office. Milk was a San Francisco Supervisor. Both he and San Francisco Mayor George Moscone were assassinated in 1978 by disgruntled supervisor Dan White.
