Human Remains Found In Riverbed In Santa Clarita

SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives Monday were investigating the discovery of human remains in the Santa Clarita area.

The remains were discovered in a riverbed near the 26400 block of Bouquet Canyon Road.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department says early word from the scene is that the remains do not appear to be those of missing a Santa Clarita woman.

Deputies said the cause of death and identification of the victim are expected to be determined by the coroner's office.
