Human Bones Recovered In Desert Near Cabazon

CABAZON (CBSLA.com) — Authorities say human bones have been found in a desert area north of Cabazon.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department said in a written statement deputies were dispatched to an area north of Power Line Road about 7:08 p.m. on Friday following a report of bones found.

When they arrived, they determined the bones appeared to be human, which was later confirmed by the county coroner.

"A search of the area was conducted and more bones were recovered and collected," the statement added.

No specific information was available about the sex or age of the deceased.
