'He Punched My Face': Angry Hotel Guest Accused Of Knocking Out Valet Attendant Over $18 Tab

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (CBSLA.com) — A hotel guest in Florida is accused of attacking a valet attendant in an incident that was caught on tape.

The incident unfolded at Ocean Sky Hotel & Resort In Fort Lauderdale.

The man was visiting a friend, but reportedly got upset when he found out the parking fee for guests and visitors was $18.

"He said, 'I don't want to pay for parking, OK?' " said Rodolfo Rodriguez, the valet attendant. "He's upset, he goes up to the car, and I don't remember anything at all because he punched my face."

The accused identified himself as a former Atlanta police officer. He was not arrested.

But police say it will be up to the State Attorney to pursue a battery case.
