Hostess Recalling 710,000 Boxes Of Ding Dong, Zinger, Other Snacks Over Possible Peanut Residue

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Hostess Brands has announced the voluntary recall of more than 700,000 boxes of cakes and donuts.

The snack food company says the treats may include contain peanut residue though peanuts aren't listed as an ingredient.

The recall affects Ding Dong, Zinger, Chocodiles, and donuts and includes single serve (snack cakes and donuts), multipack boxes, and bagged donuts.

The products were sold to merchandisers, grocery stores, distributors, dollar stores, drug stores, and convenience stores across the nation and Mexico.
