Honda Driver Killed In Collision With Big Rig On 10 Freeway In Pomona

POMONA (CBSLA.com) — The driver of a Honda sedan was killed early Thursday in an accident on the westbound 10 Freeway through the Inland Empire.

The accident happened when the car rear-ended the big rig at a high rate of speed around 12:55 a.m. on the 10 Freeway in Pomona, the California Highway Patrol said.

The driver of the Honda, 25-year-old Cody Campbel of La Mirada, was ejected from his vehicle. He suffered a traumatic injury to his head and died at the scene.

The big rig driver was not injured.

Several lanes were closed for an investigation.

All lanes of the westbound 10 Freeway were reopened around 4:20 a.m., the CHP said.
